They are of course chocked especially Dale who had Gav as
his hero before this they found out that he was accused of murder. His mum
becomes hysterical and all of them denies that it’s Gav
The people threats their family like their also murderers.
Moms send letters to the teacher telling the teacher that they don’t want their
child to sit next to Gav’s little sister
I think the people reacted that way because they don’t know
all of it. They only heard about gav being accused of murder. So they think in
some weird way that all in the Ward family is murderers.
The newspapers have only said bad things about Gav not the
good parts as his brother says on page 7. They are also starting a kind of witch
hunt by searching for where they are and by that not letting them start a new
life.
